Our Basil Linalol (Sweet Basil) oil comes from France. It is therapeutic quality and provides a safer alternative to typical Basil Essential Oils. The oil is steam distilled from the leaf of the Ocimum Basil.
The aroma presents itself as a typical Basil odor with a middle note that blends well with citrus, herbal, and woody oils.
A small amount of this oil goes a long way.
Basil Linalol should only be utilized for aromatherapy and should be avoided by pregnant women. It is also said that Basil essential oil can promote menstrual flow, therefore women who experience heavy flow may want to avoid it during their menstrual period.
We promote our products for use in Aromatherapy, although if considering use topically please follow general safety consideration for dilution. The IFRA recommends a maximum concentration of 0.2% for dermal use of Basil.
